5 Ways to Write Powerful Copy

July 22, 2016 by Lou Armstrong

5-Ways-to-Write-Powerful-Copy

There are no hidden secrets to creating powerful copy. What you need are effective strategies that will help convince your prospects to buy.

Here are five things to remember when writing powerful copy for potential clients.

  1. Know your target market

Identify the demographics of your market – gender, age, location and interests. Create a typical persona by knowing what’s on his mind, his biggest fear and greatest desires. The more you recognise your target market, the better.

  1. Create a compelling and eye-catching headline

Winning headlines can include some product benefits such as, a guarantee, specific facts or a special offer. Sub-headings must convey secondary benefits.

  1. Make your copy crystal clear.

Your copy needs to be understandable to your prospect. Keep your wording clear and concise. This ensures that the prospective customer does not get confused.

  1. Keep it short and simple

Don’t make your copy too wordy as this can confuse the reader. Easy to read. Provide key information that directs them to take the next step.

  1. Deliver a strong Call To Action

Make your CTA stand out. Start with action verbs like “ Register” and “ Subscribe”. Create urgency by using words such as “Today” and “Now” or offer special discounts.

These five techniques will help you to write powerful and persuasive copy that sells. At Not Just A Copy Shop, we provide innovative solutions and help you create your own unique marketing campaign for your business.
